EXPOSURE X 10,000

Exposure X 10,000 is a body of work that I created after discovering Jack Goldstein's paintings, which were an attempt to demonstrate that humans have no limitations and that, through paintings, one is able to achieve the same effect as photographs. I was fascinated that he was able to push himself and his medium to its furthest limits. I was most inspired by Goldstein's Plate 46, Untitled 1983, Plate 45, Untitled 1983, and Plate 38, Untitled 1981. In Exposure X 10,000, I attempted to recreate the effect of Goldstein's work by creating a dramatization of light, line and form, which is difficult to understand and capture in real time.
